Managers Monthly Report
I hope everyone made out ok from hurricane Matthew. The common area didn’t do quite as well. As I’m sure you are all aware of the brick wall and fencing that is down on Ashford Blvd. I have been getting quotes for the necessary repairs, along with meeting with the insurance company to get it fixed as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience as we try to get it done with as little cost to the association as possible.
On that note, some of the problems were a result of landscaping up against the wall or fence. Please trim back or remove trees/plants on your property that impede the fence or brick walls. As we have a $5,000.00 deductible for our insurance, we will be out of pocket at least that amount for the repairs needed.
A thank you to the volunteers who came by to help bring in the pool furniture and assist with the removal of the pool shades to avoid damage. They came by again to assist with putting the furniture back out. Thank you Linda Smith, Nick Miokovic, Matt McCown, and Matthew Inman.
The annual meeting did not have a quorum (75 vote’s minimum) and was recessed to a date to be determined. The fact that there was only seven candidates for seven openings, the new Board of Directors was able to be seated and start their work. The officers and committee members are all set and ready to go. The reconvened annual meeting date is yet to be determined, you will be informed when that date is established.
Some of the pool furniture has been sent out to be refurbished and should be back before Thanksgiving.
The Board will be interviewing for a part time Janitor/Handyman position that was approved by the Board at its last meeting. If interested contact the office for details.

Hurricane Matthew Repairs Update
We will be having a special meeting regarding the damages the community incurred during Hurricane Matthew. Our office manager, Paul, has been working hard to get the necessary bids in as well as working with our insurance to meet their requirements. It has been a long and extensive process and a big thank you to Paul for getting everything taken care of as quickly as possible when their are so many moving parts.
Pool Furniture Update
Our old pool furniture has been sent out to be painted and to have new straps put on to match the new furniture in our pool area. We recognized the need to get more furniture since the pool area has been getting a lot more traffic due to the remodel. It was more cost effective to send out the old furniture for new straps and paint, adding additional seats, replacing the umbrellas with commercial grade ones and new tables to replace damage ones. We also replaced a couple of the old umbrella holders. To replace everything with brand new furniture would of been extremely expensive when there was nothing wrong with the existing furniture outside of the straps and a fresh coat. We hope to have the furniture back before Thanksgiving and apologize if there is limited seating during this time.
