Yard of the Month
Congratulations to 3406 Chatsworth Lane and to 3030 Bridgehampton Lane, your yard of the month winners for August. Their hard work and dedication are a wonderful example to our neighbors and community.
Elections for office
Those wishing to run for the Board of Directors in October, and wish to have their Bio’s published in advance of the meeting must get them into the office by the 16th of September to be ready for the meeting notices. There are seven members of the board of directors, according to our by-laws. We currently have five members serving. We can use your help.
Also if you are not interested in running for the board but would like to be involved in the community, you can volunteer for any committee you feel will be helpful to your community. They can use your help, and would appreciate it. Many hands lighten the load. THINK ABOUT HELPING. There is a list of committees on our web-site.
Club House
The club house has added a 58” Smart TV and Blue-Ray disk player, available for rentals. If someone wants to use the TV or Blue-Ray they must leave a $25.00 additional deposit for the remotes. If returned in good order the money will be refunded.
Neighbors
July has broken all records for heat. Please, keep an eye out for your neighbors as they may have issues because of the heat. If you have not seen them for some time, knock on their door and check on them. Let’s keep Bryn Mawr safe for everyone.
Budget
The board is starting the process of putting together next year’s budget for the association. It will be addressing the operating costs and planning any project that needs our attention. If you have suggestions let one of the Board members or the office know.
Manager Notes
The many hours of work that saves the association tons of money, is not seen, or even heard about. That is the work of your Board and committee members, all volunteers, not often recognized. Think about it. The cost to assemble and paint a table, fix a broken deck, repair a broken computer printer, fix our Wi-Fi, check on the work of vendors, develop and maintain a web-site, prepare and maintain a budget, keep the members informed, all this and much more was done in the past month alone. Thousands of dollars are saved each year by their volunteerism. This small group of individuals keep our dues down, keep our community safe and informed, and looking beautiful. They could use your help. Please try to give a little of your time to keep us a great place to live.
The more hands the lighter the load
