Managers Announcements

With the month of June comes hurricane season.

https://www.ready.gov/hurricanes is a great web site to prepare you for a hurricane, what to do during one as well as after.  Now is the time to check it out and get prepared.  Don’t wait till it’s too late.

June is also a good time to get those outside projects underway.  Remember to pull an Architectural Modification Request (AMR) Form for those projects. If you do not have a printer you can also stop by the office to pick one up.

Events

Annual BBQ and Pool Party – June 24

The BBQ and Pool Party has been canceled due to low volunteerism rates.  In order to throw this annual event, we need to have willing participants that want to assist during the party.  We need 6 or more volunteers to ensure we can rotate everyone throughout the event.  That way they can also enjoy the festivities and not just work.  The Social Committee will be sending out a new survey to look at suggestions for other types of events that residents will be willing to not only participate in, but volunteer for.  Please keep a look out for this survey.  You can also send an email to social@brynmawrsouth.com with your suggestions.

Common Area News

Pool Area

The pool had to be closed, for treatment, 2 days last month.  There was a buildup of phosphates in both pools.  The pool company explained that some of it is caused by the ducks leaving feces in the pool and some of it is because people are not showering off the oils and suntan lotions.  Please try to keep the ducks away and try to rinse off before going in to the pool.  It cost $200.00 for the treatment, but more important we lost the use of the pool for two days.  Also, please close umbrellas before leaving pool area.
